KYLIE JENNER LIP KITS REVIEW

The past couple of months or years I must say, we have all become obsessed with Kylie Jenner’s Lip frenzy. I couldn’t resist and I had to jump on the bandwagon and try Kylie Jenner’s make up line. I was lucky enough to get a hold of all of the liquid lipsticks, since they always get sold out in a couple of minutes and sometimes-even seconds! I remember staying up really late (well, really early in the morning 3AM, AEST) for her very first ever launch, the three lipsticks and lip liners -True Brown K, Dolce K and Candy K! Unfortunately I was unable to get a hold of it. I was a bit upset and really tired, Ha. Staying up all night/morning to get none of them! In the end, I ended getting all the lipsticks this year - not all at once though.

Moving onto the Lip Kits, every kit has a liquid lipstick and a matching lip liner, which comes in the prettiest packaging ever! To me, it’s really minimalistic and simple packaging. The kits are $29 USD, which I think is a pretty reasonable price for getting two make up products. All of the lip liners glide onto the lips really easily and leave your lips feeling soft, and the shades are super pigmented which is a plus!

The liquid lipsticks is where I got really impressed, the smallest amount really does go a long way - you never need to re-dip for more product. The texture is super light and mousey, they dry really quickly into a gorgeous matte. I can honestly say that the liquid lipsticks stay on for a really long time. I’ve found that these easily last 5-6 hours on the lips! Kylie Jenner has now over eight liquid lipsticks and liners; Kourt K being the newest shade, Candy K, Dolce K, Koko K, Posie K, Mary Jo K, 22 & True Brown K.

I’d love to know if you had managed to get your hands on these? Or are you still lusting a lip kit by Kylie?

MINI CONFETTI MERINGUES

Lately I've been getting into a lot of baking, not sure if it just procrastination kicking in from avoiding doing my university assignments or I have a lot of free time now a days. I wanted to share with you guys a super quick and easy mini confetti meringues recipe - great for birthday party's and high tea!
Some of the meringues, didn't turn out the way I wanted them to be, but hey it was my first time ever to bake them! So don't mind the weird looking ones (practise makes perfect). I also filmed making this recipe, so check it out HERE!

PREP TIME: 15 MINUTES | COOK TIME: 60 MINUTES | DIFFICULTY: EASY

MERINGUES  INGREDIENTS

+ 3 medium egg whites
+ 150g caster sugar
+ 1 tsp vanilla extract
+ 200g White Chocolate
+ 200g of Rainbow Sprinkles
+ Gel Food colour (of your choice)

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 100ºC. Line Two large baking trays with baking paper. In a large bowl, whisk the egg whites until very stiff and dry. Whisk in half of the sugar. Gently fold in the remaining sugar along with the Vanilla Extract.

Step 2: Equally divide the mixture between three bowls and add a few drops of the one of the Gel Food colour to each bowl of mixture. Carefully and gently fold in the colours using a large metal spoon to make three pastel coloured meringue mixtures.

Step 3: Working on one coloured meringue mixture at a time, put the mixture into a large piping bag and pipe 4-52cm mounds onto the prepared baking trays.

Step 4: Repeat with the remaining meringue mixture to make approx 30 mini meringues. Bake in oven for one hour until the meringues are crisp on the outside and not browned - prop the oven door slightly if they started to discolour. Cool the meringues on the baking trays for 5 minutes.

Step 5: To decorate the meringues, put the white chocolates chips into a heatproof bowl and place over a saucepan of barely simmering water until melted. Remove the bowl from the saucepan of water, beat until smooth and cool for 10 minutes.

Step 6:  Put the Rainbow Sprinkles into a small bowl. Working on one meringues at a time, carefully dip the bottom of the meringue into the white chocolate and them into the rainbow sprinkles. Place the meringue back onto the baking tray to set. Repeat until all of the meringues are decorated then put aside in a cool place for 30 minutes until set and Enjoy!

Happy Baking!

DRUGSTORE MAKEUP HAUL

I always love going to Priceline or Target and browsing the makeup aisle for any new finds from my favourite drugstore brands.  For those of you that haven's heard of Priceline, it's an Australian cosmetics store, that sells 'drugstore' brands. I got some lovely bits from NYX, Loreal, Model's Prefer, Beauty Essentials and Australis.

I picked up a few new lips products including the Loreal Paris Infallible Long wear lip gloss in 103 Protest Queen and 110 I Got The Power. Best lip glosses ever,  nice pinky and nude shades. I also grabbed the Australis Colour Inject Moisturising Mineral lipsticks in Samba, Mo Town and Minimalism. Such amazing formula and I actually gravitate towards these lipsticks then my MAC lipsticks! I always wanted to try NYX butter glosses so I got it in shade BLG15 Angel Food Cake, which will be great for autumn and winter seasons!

I also picked up a few face products that the girls at Priceline recommend to try; the Models Prefer Mineral Powder in Soft focus and Radiant Bronze. These powders are actually pretty good highlighters. From Beauty Essentials I picked up an eye and lips palette, nudes. The palette has nice and sparkly shades but I wouldn't go and buy this palette again. From Models Prefer I purchased Nude 10 Shades Eyeshadow Palette which has nice matte and shinny nude shades, definitely good if you want a natural look or a sophisticated smokey eye look. The last product I picked up was  from Models Prefer is Radiance/ Collection Ultimate Illuminating Cream Highlighter. Never used any cream based highlighters before, so this was actually pretty good. So smooth and creamy that it easily blends!
