DIY HOT COCO MIX ORNAMENT

Only N I N E T E E N days until Christmas guys and before I forget.. Happy December! To start off my christmas themed blog posts for this month, I wanted to share with you guys this simple homemade christmas gift. These hot cocoa mix ornaments are a cute way to gift someone who loves this season. These ornaments are super easy to make and there are so many different hot cocoa varieties and you can even make your own kinda mix.

PREP TIME: 5 MINUTES | COOK TIME: 0 MINUTES | DIFFICULTY: EASY

INGREDIENTS:
+ 1 single serving package instant hot chocolate mix
+ Sprinkles
+ 1 clear plastic or glass fillable ornament. I suggest finding bigger ornaments than small ones.
+ White marshmallows
+ Candy Canes

STEP ONE:  Start with a clean ornament and take off the top bit. Fill each ingredient into the ornament using a funnel. Start with the hot cocoa mix of you choice (milk/dark/white) then add either crushed candy canes, chocolate chips or sprinkles and lastly.. add the white marshmallows and put top back on.

I definitely recommend that you use big ornaments rather than small ones.. I couldn't find any clear big size ornaments and unfortunately and did have bit of a hard time putting in the ingredients but in the end I got there. So it is possible! Hope your all having a wonderful start of the christmas season.

Have you started your christmas shopping yet?

D.I.Y | Indoor Herb Garden

For my Uni Assignment, I had to think of an product design using a recyclable material that can be used in a residential or commercial space. The materials I could choose from was; Aluminium, Glass, Wood (soft or hard) and Cement. So I embarked on designing a indoor glass jar herb garden using recyclable glass jars. So unique right? I'm happy to report that all the plants are alive and thriving well. Since the glass jars don't have natural drainage, I had to include stones and charcoal on the bottom to help create "drainage" on the inside of the jar.

Materials Needed:

- 2 or 4 Glass Jars
- Soil
- Italian Herbs (Chives, Parsley,  Oregano and Thyme)
- 2 or 4 Jar Holders
- Water
- Stones
- Charcoal

Here are the steps of a D.I.Y Indoor Herb Garden;

1. Place 1" of stones in the bottom of the glass jars. After adding the stones, place 1/2" of charcoal to the bottom of the glass jars. Then add the soil.

2. Add the herbs to the glass jars and water them, and voila! Your glass jars are now completed. *Happy dance* You can place your herb glass jars anywhere you like, just remember to keep watering them and label them so you know which plants you've planted!
