TOP 5 THINGS TO DO & SEE IN GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA

Gold Coast is very famous for its long sandy beaches, theme parks such as Dreamworld, Sea World, Wet 'n'  Wild etc and its surfing sports. Gold Coast is not only known for the long sandy beaches but in the inland, there are many hiking trails especially at Springbrook National Park, where you see rare birds and rainforests.

I am very fortunate to live only 35 minutes away from the Gold Coast! I'm usually at the coast once a week, its my favourite getaway. Gold Coast is a place where I grew up - as a kid, going every weekends and holidays, staying either at the Gold Coast or the Sunshine Coast. In other words, I'm definitely a beach bum - I love the sand and the ocean! So I wanted to share wit you my top 5 things to do and see at the Gold Coast.

TOP 5 THINGS TO DO & SEE IN GOLD COAST

1. VISIT THE THEME PARKS
Gold Coast is famous for its theme parks such as Dreamworld, White Water World, Movie World, Wet 'n' Wild and Sea World. My all time favourite theme park would have to be Dreamworld. I've been going to theme parks ever since I was little, so no rides scare me, ha!

2. DO THE SKYPOINT CLIMB & WATCH THE SUNSET FROM THE SKYPOINT OBSERVATION DECK
The sky point climb is a must do, it last around 90 minutes and provides unparalleled 360' views of the Gold Coast and beyond. The Skypoint observation deck is located on level 77 of the Q1 building and is a place to watch the sunset with its 360 degree views of the Gold Coast. The observation deck is a place to go and east and relax where there is a cafe and a bar.

3. GO HIKING AT THE SPRINGBROOK NATIONAL PARK
Springbrook forest and mountains offers views of impressive landscapes, which are seriously breathtaking. Springbrook Park covers 6,725 hectares which have over 100 types of birds, frogs and reptiles and it also has different plants and tree species.

4. GO SHOPPING AT PACIFIC FAIR SHOPPING CENTRE & HARBOUR TOWN
Pacific Fair is a major shopping centre in Broadbeach Waters on the Gold Coast, one of my favourite places too shop at - it has everything! It reminds me a lot of Melbourne Shopping centres, like Chadstone and Highpoint. Harbour Town has many factory outlets in one centre - so many bargains!

5. VISIT THE BEACHFRONT MARKETS
At Surfers Paradise beachfront, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights, there are around 120 market stalls which features unique artworks, homewares, fashion, photographs etc. It is one of the largest markets on the Gold Coast!

If you ever visit Australia, I 100% recommend you to come and visit the Gold Coast, you will not be disappointed! I also made a GOLD COAST TRAVEL DIARY Check it out HERE

JANUARY BOOK HAUL

With Autumn creeping in and summer is coming to an end, how crazy to think theres only 29 days left of summer! I've always been a big reader, I love switching off before bed, taking an hour away from using my phone and laptop and just curl up in bed and read a book! One of my goals for 2017 was to read more. So far, I have been sticking to that goal. I've read over 8 books the past month (some books aren't not mentioned in this post, look forward to the next book haul). The books I read this month and definitely recommend is;

+ Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
+ The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
+ A Want of Kindness by Joanne Limburg
+ Coco Chanel by Megan Hess
+ Girl Online Going Solo by Zoe Sugg

Let me know what books you got this month, or what books you are currently reading that you recommend!
