Jamie's Italian | Brisbane

The weather is getting colder and I'm loving it! I'm excited to wear oversized grey knitted jumpers with a black pair of TopShop jeans and cute tan ankle boots and a chunky scarf to finish it off!

On the last day of March, yesterday. My cousin and I were in the city (Brisbane CBD), and we were doing a bit of shopping and after hours of trying on clothes and shoes, we were hungry and we both decided we wanted to eat at a Sumo Salad, me being vegetarian they have some pretty good vegetarian salads!

As we were walking along, getting excited that were about to get some food into our tummies, we stumbled across Jamie Oliver's restaurant, Jamie's Italian and we both thought lets go and try it out. My cousin and I are big fans of Jamie Oliver and Italian food, and I'm so glad we stumble across it!

The interior in Jamie's Italian, was amazing. Loved the dim lights and how their was a massive chandelier in the restaurant! Being a junior interior designer and decorator I was very inspired. The restaurant being a beautiful split level restaurant and bar with a rustic relaxed inspired Jamie theme. We were seated at the Antipasti bar were we watch the chefs at work, creating beautiful dishes that were on the menu.

There were so many yummy dishes to choose from, and what we ordered was the 'My Caprese Salad' which is roasted heritage tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and basil. For dessert we had a dish called the 'Epic Brownie' which had warm fudgy brownie with ice cream topped with caramelised popcorn, which was so yummy and was the best dessert I have ever had!

Lipstick Must Haves

Thank you all for the lovely comments on my last blogpost! Today, I wanted to share with you guys some of my favourite must have lipsticks. Lipsticks are my go to make up item when the weather starts cooling down, I think its beautiful in the fall and just adds an extra level of sophistication to any outfit. The quality of the MAC and Chanel lipsticks are amazing, unlike others I've tired and the lipsticks are truly worth the investment. I definitely want to buy MAC Ruby Woo, Rebel and Brave lipsticks! MAC Velvet Teddy MAC Honey-Love

MAC Velvet Teddy: is a great nude-y lipstick and is one of my favourite nude lipsticks because of the balance of peach-pink- brown tones. It doesn't appear too pink or too brown, just a 'natural' lip colour.

MAC Honey-Love: has a matte finish. The colour is a pigmented medium beige nude with a tinge of salmon and pink. I think its one of those nudes that will work well with everyone!

CHANEL Rouge Coco 'No.19 Gabrielle'

CHANEL Rouge Coco 'No. 19 Gabrielle': This is a great bold statement lipstick. The lipstick gives quite a matte finish with a little bit of sheer in it. It will look good on all skin tones.

MAC Faux MAC Myth

MAC Faux: is a nice pink colour that has a satin finish. It's definitely not a bright pink, it's slightly a dull pink colour and has been my go to lipstick lately.

MAC Myth: has a satin finish. It is a gorgeous pinky nude lipstick, great for a natural make up look!

SKIN CARE ROUTINE | AESOP

I thought I would share my current skin care routine, I find these skin care posts very interesting to read! The past three years, I've been using the Body Shop Vitamin E cream cleanser, Vitamin E hydrating toner and Vitamin E moisture cream and I felt that I needed a change. I am always on a hunt to see what is out there. Don't get me wrong or anything, the Body Shop has really good skin care products and it works for my skin type which is dry. I just needed a change and the brands I've been looking into too was Clinique, Origins, Aesop and Clarins but then I came to the decision to go with Aēsop from reading other blogs, doing research and my best friends telling me its the best skin care products they have ever purchase!

About two weeks ago, I've been using Aēsop and let me tell you, it's AMAZING! I wish I found it sooner. In the Aēsop store, a lady was helping me out on finding the best cleansers and toners for my dry skin and she recommended these ones;

First, I start taking off my eye make up using Revlon colorstay gentle eye remover then I put 1 pump of Aēsop Fabulous face cleanser onto my clean hands and gently massage it all over my face and when the cleanser is gentle enough to remove my make up I wash it off with warm water. After cleansing, I splash half a teaspoon of Aēsop B & Tea balancing toner onto a cotton pad and pat it onto my face, then I finish off with using Aēsop Mandarin facial hydrating cream and rubbing it all onto my face. I use Aēsop purifying facial exfoliant paste once every week, I do it every friday night and I finish off with using Aēsop Protective lip balm.

LOVE, TANYA

Hey guys,

I thought I'd give Love, Tanya by Tanya Burr a book review. Which is something new to me but I hope you will still enjoy reading! I've been watching Tanya burr, along with some other YouTube British stars for a few years now and I was so excited to read her new book release, which i must say, its AMAZING! Not only does the book include beauty, fashion and her YouTube experience it also has chapters on her childhood and growing up, baking recipes and some confidence and happiness advice.

You can tell that Tanya has put a lot of work into her book, the photographs are amazing even the star metallics on the side come across perfectly! The book itself is truly inspiring and I definitely recommend this book. My favourite chapter would have to be Confidence and Happiness, I found these pages very helpful and some teenagers can relate too, and there are some great advice too. Tanya Burr made this book so relatable and lovely, which I love. You can buy Love, Tanya from Dymocks and QBD book shop, as well from Amazon.

My Everyday Makeup

I thought I would do a blog post about the make up I currently use on a daily basis.

I tend to switch up my products by using different foundations and changing the colours like blushes, lipsticks and eyeshadows. It really depends on the mood I'm in and what I have planned during the day and evening. Lately I've been doing the 'natural' makeup look, rocking with a nude lipstick and sometimes a winged eye liner too! These are the current products I'm using;

Happy New Year Everyone!

Hope you all had an excellent start to the new year. Can you believe it's already 2015? It's a new year and a new start for me!

One of my resolutions for 2015 is to become vegetarian. It's been 12 days of eating no meat and it feels great. The reason why I made this massive decision for myself and not many people were happy about it, because I come from a European background (Serbian) and basically the main food you eat is meat in every meal. I wanted this year for myself to become healthier and happier about my body and plus who doesn't want to live a little bit longer?

Another resolution I made was to go and sign up to a gym and work out. Don't worry, I'm not going to become a body builder or a 'gym junkie', all i want to do is to loose weight and stay fit. Another resolution for this year is to travel more.

A couple of days ago I was in Sydney for a holiday, and while I was there I wanted to check out the SEPHORA store, because that's the only store in Australia they have. I heard that SEPHORA is coming to Brisbane which I'm very excited! When I entered the store, I felt like a kid in a candy store. SEPHORA had make up brands like tarte, Make Up Forever, Marc Jacobs, Kat Von D, IT cosmetics etc and they also sell skin care and fragrances.

I purchased a few products from Marc Jacobs, Make Up Forever and tarte. I'm always on the hunt for trying new foundations and powders. I can tell you, that I'm very happy with the products I choose!

Merry Monday Everyone!

Only 10 more days until CHRISTMAS! and I'm super excited. My favourite part of christmas would have to be looking at christmas lights in my neighbourhood and definitely listening to Michael Bublé christmas album. How about you?
