It's been a while since I've done a book haul, I'm pretty sure the last one I did was all the way back in January this year! So I wanted to share with you guys some of my favourite books that I've stumble across the past eight months. First of all I wanted to share with you guys t h r e e benefits of what reading does to you (hopefully to get you guys inspired to read more books);
o n e: It reduces stress
If you had a stressful day at work, school or university etc, by just reading a book all of that stress slips away and then you find yourself in a great story. Apparently if you read for six minutes straight silently, your stress levels will reduce by up to 68 per cent!
t w o: A workout for your brain
This doesn't require any physical activity and plus you won't be huffing and puffing after this workout. It's pretty obvious that your body needs movement and so does your brain. By reading it will help you to concentrate better and also increase your intellectual activity.
t h r e e: Inspiration
Let's just say you came across a book on British culture or even a noel and the main character is a chef. The next day or so you might find yourself reading and researching on British culture and finding many British recipes and also might find yourself in the kitchen making a Sunday roast for your family!
Skylines by Yolanda Zappaterra and Jan Fuscoe
I found this book about a year ago in the DFO book shop for only $7.00! I absolutely love books on travel, big cities and different cultures. One of the best purchases I've ever made and the book features incredible illustrations by Jenny Seddon.
See San Francisco by Victoria Smith
A fellow blogger you might know her by her blog name sfgirlbybay. This book features Victoria's beautiful photographs of San Francisco such as neighbourhoods, landmarks and hot spots in San Fran. The cover of the book caught my eye when I first saw it!
Elsa's Wholesome Life by Ellie Bullen
This is a book that I picked up a month ago and I'm seriously glad that I did. This book promotes a healthy lifestyle and has over 100 awesome and yummy vegan recipes. Ellie Bullen is also a fellow blogger and has an amazing Instagram account which you guys should totally check out @elsas_wholesomelife.
The Trilogy about Eleanor of Aquitaine by Elizabeth Chadwick
The Summer Queen is the first in the Trilogy and the second book is the Winter Crown and the last one is called the Autumn Throne, which I still need to purchase! Elizabeth Chadwick is an award winning and best selling author in historical fiction, I seriously recommend these books that if only you like historical fiction!

I'm really interested in the series about Eleanor of Aquitaine, I remember reading an old diary-style book about her and it was my absolute favorite when I was younger. Thanks for the recommendation x
