TOP 5 SUMMER FOUNDATIONS

I love wearing lighter foundations during the hotter months and some of the medium to heavy foundations when I'm going out somewhere on a summer stormy night out. My skin is in a pretty good state at the moment, due to drinking lots of water (keeping hydrated)! Wearing no make up during the summer holidays and also taking fish oil tablets everyday, they help to reduce pimples too!

I thought I would share with you guys I'm my top five favourite summer foundations, I really enjoy reading "5 favourites" posts! So here are my favourite summer foundations, which are in no particular order; 

+ Rimmel London Match Perfection SPF 18 - 081 Fair Ivory

I found this foundation very light to wear in the summer. Its not to light and not to heavy for my face during the summer season. I sometimes love to mesh it with my Nars or Mac foundation to give me a bit of extra coverage for any pimples or red patches on my face.  

 + By Terry Sheer Expert - 4 Rosy Beige

This is a super duper light foundation and is amazing for summer! I love using this foundation whenever I get a tan because it has to be my darkest shade that I own. This has always been my favourite during the summer months because it gives a fresh and flawless look to my face and it smells really nice too. 

+ Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation - 1 Fair Pale

I'm a big fan of Charlotte Tilbury products, and this foundation is a light to medium coverage which is good for summer definitely during the summer evenings. 

+ Mac Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 NW10 & NC15

This would have to be one of my favourite foundations, even though its a medium to a full coverage foundation, I love wearing it in all of the seasons! But i definitely love wearing this foundation on a stormy summer night, when the air gets a bit colder from the heat during the day. 

+ Nars Sheer Glow Foundation - Mount Blanc 

This is another favourite foundation that I love to wear, it has the same reasons for Mac Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 foundation, so I'm not going to repeat myself for your guys sake!! I love how it gives a natural and radiant finish to my face.

ZOEVA MAKEUP BRUSHES | ROSE GOLDEN LUXURY SET

Hooray, it's 2016! Hope everyone had an amazing christmas and new year! 

To start of the new year, thought I'd share with yous, my new favourite make up brushes. I purchased these brushes a couple of weeks ago in Sephora in Melbourne. I fell in love with these gorgeous rose gold brushes and also the clutch, that came with it. If anyone knows me, I have a thing for all things Rose Gold! I'm a massive fan of Zoeva's brushes due to having the second collection. The collection consists of eight brushes, which are all super soft and gentle on the skin. There are four face and four eye brushes made from natural hair and synthetic bristles which can be used with cream and powder based products.

+ 106 Powder: Apply loose and pressed powder

+ 102 Silk Finish: Apply and blend foundation

+ 110 Face Shape: Contour the face with cream and powder products

SPICED CHRISTMAS COOKIES

December is a time for lots of baking! I love baking, especially baking for people during the christmas season. I made these spiced christmas cookies today and they are super EASY to make! I also love that you can make them into all different christmassy shapes but my faves would have to be the stars and snowflake cookie cutters! The recipes used to make these spiced christmas cookies and basic icing recipe are found on taste.com.

PREP TIME: 30 MINUTES | COOK TIME: 10 MINUTES | DIFFICULTY: EASY 

COOKIES INGREDIENTS

❆ 1 cup plain flour

❆ 1/2 cup brown sugar

❆ 1 teaspoon cinnamon

❆ 1/2 teaspoon mixed spice

❆ 75g unsalted butter, chopped

STEP ONE: Line two baking trays with non stick baking paper.

STEP TWO: Sift flour, sugar and spices into a large bowl. Using fingertips, rub in butter until mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs. add golden syrup and mix to form a soft dough. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead for one or two minutes until dough is smooth. cover with plastic wrap and chill for thirty minutes. 

STEP THREE: Preheat oven to 180c or 160c fan forced. Roll dough on a slightly floured surface until 5mm thick. Using cookie cutters, cut shapes from dough. Place on prepared trays, allowing room for spreading. Chill again for ten minutes. 

STEP FOUR: Bake for ten minutes until pale golden. Cool on trays. Decorate with basic homemade icing or whatever suits you! 

PREP TIME: 3 MINUTES | MAKES: 3/4 CUPS  | DIFFICULTY: SUPER EASY 

BASIC ICING INGREDIENTS 

❆ 1 1/2 cups icing sugar 

❆ 25g butter, softened

❆ 1 tablespoon milk or water

❆ Few drops of food colouring

STEP ONE: Using a wooden spoon, combine icing sugar, butter and milk in medium bowl until smooth. Add a touch of extra milk or water to get a glossier consistency.

STEP TWO: Add enough food colouring to tint icing to your desired colour! Mix well.

Where does the time go? Today i'm going to share with you guys some of my favourite lipsticks choices for christmas, woot woot! At this time of year, I love nothing more than a strong red lipstick, which looks super elegant and perfect for christmas party season! The obvious option would be a red lipstick christmas choice pick, but i decided to stray away from the reds and went more towards of the pinks- brown lipsticks this christmas season! One of my favourite things about holiday season is seeing all of the christmas decorations in stores and baking gingerbread cookies! December is the time when people start wearing matching red lipsticks and nail combo during the christmas season! Red is very much in season and nothing beats a great, classic red creme for nails during the holidays. But at times, I like to switch it up by adding a little shimmer and sparkle. Summer is just around the corner and so is Christmas!

 Charlotte Tilbury has bought out this year again for christmas, the set of three mini lipsticks, which are so adorable and is the perfect stocking filler. It's small enough you could tote around the whole set in your bag (yay)! The set includes three K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks in the shades; So Marilyn, Penelope Pink and Bitch Perfect. The lipsticks are quite, tiny.. like really, really tiny! I was a bit stunned when I first saw them, due to how expensive they were. But the lipsticks sets are perfect, if you never tried any Charlotte Tilbury lip products before. The formula of the lipstick are amazing and also are creamy and pigmented.

Happy November! 

Charlotte Tilbury is one of my favourite make up brands, and the magic foundation took around five years to make, making it to be one of my favourite all time foundations! The magic foundation is a full coverage, demi-matte, long lasting foundation. It covers up any acne, scarring, redness and discolouration - yay! 

I love Charlotte Tilbury products, even though it's a bit over priced, its worth it. I purchased the foundation from net-a-porter, my all time favourite website with super quick delivery and gorgeous packaging!
