GIRL ONLINE & MICHELLE PHAN: MAKE UP!

Can you believe that I posted another blog post this month? (Yay)!
So today I went to the bookstore (Dymocks) in Brisbane city and I wanted to check if they had the books; Girl Online and Michelle Phan: Make Up book! and guess what? THEY DID!
I was really surprised to be honest (YAY! Australia is moving up in the world) and boy, I cannot wait to read them.

Zoe Sugg, the author of Girl Online (the YouTuber I was telling you about in my last blog post) released her book Girl Online yesterday and its her first novel, it is "a modern-day Notting Hill for teens", according to Penguin.

The second book that I purchase which I was really excited about was Michelle Phan: Make Up book: Your life guide to beauty, style and success - online and OFF! Who doesn't like a good beauty book? and yes, she is another YouTuber. Which has over 7 million subscribers!

You can purchase the books at Dymocks and its website too!

Girl Online - Zoe Sugg $19.99
Michelle Phan: Make up $34.99

What are your favourite books that you have read this year?

ZOELLA BEAUTY!

Happy November!
Cannot believe it's December next month and Christmas, also a new year is about to approach us! Definitely excited for next year and what it brings me. Anyways, I know I'm a bit late posting about Zoella's Beauty products, but oh my gosh, can we take a second and appreciate how cute her products are?! Firstly your wondering what in the world is 'Zoella Beauty'?! and who is 'Zoella'.

Well, her name is Zoe Sugg. She is a Bristish YouTuber and is one of my inspirations and about two months ago she released her beauty and bath range 'Zoella Beauty'. This month she is releasing her first book called 'Girl Online'.

I've been waiting patiently for my Zoella products to arrive (the joys of living in Australia), and I finally received the last two products I was waiting for; the fizz bar and hand cream (it took over a month guys). Now that everything has arrived I wanted to share with you guys the things I purchased from Zoella Beauty. Unfortunately I wasn't able to purchase her Blissful Mistful Fragranced Body Mist due to the website I bought it from (Feel Unique), didn't allow it to ship to Australia.

The products smell so fresh and floral, but don't worry it's not overpowering!

The range contains;

Creamy Madly Dreamly Body Lotion - $9.45
Soak Opera Bath Soak and Shower Cream - $9.45
Blissful Mistful Fragranced Body Mist - $18.90
Let's Glow Fragranced Candle - $9.45
Fizz Bar Fragranced Bath Fizzer - $9.45
Guiena Pig & Eyes Makeup Bag/Pencil Case - $15.12

MY LUSH FAVOURITES

I've been using Lush products for a couple of years, and some of my favourites would have to be the bath bombs, American Cream Conditioner, Bubblegum lip scrub and the R&B hair treatment. Here are some of my favourite bath bombs..

The THINK PINK bath bomb is good for comforting and reassuring. It reminds me of a sweet shop,  the smell is sweet but not too overpowering, it also reminds me of pink bon-bons! Don't you agree? Definitely one of my favourites.

Tisty Tosty has rose perfume to ease any tension and stress.  The only way I can describe the scent is its like a rose bush! So fresh and clean.

Lush released their Christmas stock for 2014 and what I pick up from the christmas stock, was the BUTTERBEAR  bath bomb, its ah- may- zing! and it's really good for the skin too!

And lastly, the lucky last one is TWILIGHT. My all time favourite relaxing bath bomb. When I drop it in the bath it turns all dark until it's purple and it has shimmers in it, reminds me of the night sky.

What lush product is your favourite?

D.I.Y | Indoor Herb Garden

For my Uni Assignment, I had to think of an product design using a recyclable material that can be used in a residential or commercial space. The materials I could choose from was; Aluminium, Glass, Wood (soft or hard) and Cement. So I embarked on designing a indoor glass jar herb garden using recyclable glass jars. So unique right? I'm happy to report that all the plants are alive and thriving well. Since the glass jars don't have natural drainage, I had to include stones and charcoal on the bottom to help create "drainage" on the inside of the jar.

Materials Needed:

- 2 or 4 Glass Jars
- Soil
- Italian Herbs (Chives, Parsley,  Oregano and Thyme)
- 2 or 4 Jar Holders
- Water
- Stones
- Charcoal

Here are the steps of a D.I.Y Indoor Herb Garden;

1. Place 1" of stones in the bottom of the glass jars. After adding the stones, place 1/2" of charcoal to the bottom of the glass jars. Then add the soil.

2. Add the herbs to the glass jars and water them, and voila! Your glass jars are now completed. *Happy dance* You can place your herb glass jars anywhere you like, just remember to keep watering them and label them so you know which plants you've planted!
